Hello there! My name is Chris, or “Blue” in some online communities. I was born and raised in Carlsbad, CA; a surf/skate town in the San Diego County. My childhood consisted of skateboarding, playing video games, watching Chris Farley skits, quoting Spongebob Squarepants, and designing through various mediums.
At the age of 14, I discovered Adobe Photoshop when browsing in an online gaming forum. Users would post and share their design “signatures” for critique. This little community became the driving force in me pursuing the digital arts and completing my BFA in Illustration at Cal State Fullerton in May of 2015.
After graduating from CSUF, I had the pleasure of working for a variety of companies including; a creative agency, a small game team developing concepts for video games, a design studio creating t-shirt graphics for musicians, leading the graphics team at an e-commerce company specializing in wood burning designs, and creating marketing material for a popular motorcycle-bluetooth company. My recent time with Aduro as their marketing graphic designer consisted of creating print/digital collateral for potential clients, creating logos and banners for client branded programs, email marketing, content creation for the Aduro social media pages, and assisting with UX/UI projects for the Aduro website.
After work hours, you can find me continuing my design education, playing video games, or exploring the beautiful PNW with my wife, Kirty.
